Special Issue Information
Ovarian cancer is the most lethal gynecologic malignancy due to later stage diagnosis and poor early detection strategies. Ovaries consists of several cell types and developing tumors in ovaries can be quite heterogenous. Moreover, the tumor microenvironment involves a complex interaction of immune cells, fibroblasts, tumor cells, endothelial cells, and the extracellular matrix which support the developing tumor. Genomic and proteomic advances have altered treatment strategies to allow a more thorough examination of genetic mutations and biomarkers expressed in a patient’s individual tumor. Increased knowledge of the molecular pathogenesis of the different ovarian tumor types will allow for more precise treatment strategies and therapeutic targets. Recent advances involving BRCA testing and the subsequent development of PARP inhibitors is one example of the successes that lead to further understanding of the pathogenesis of ovarian tumor subtypes. In summary, this issue seeks to report recent advances in detailing the molecular pathogenesis of ovarian cancer and the contribution of the tumor microenvironment to cancer initiation and metastasis. Original research and review are both welcome.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at https://ejgo.imrpress.combyregisteringandlogging into this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All papers will be peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a double-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on theInstructions for Authorspage. European Journal of Gynaecological Oncology is an international peer-reviewed open access quarterly journal published by IMR Press.
